More personally...

I am an animal lover and advocate for animal rescue. Over the years my four-legged family members have included: Susie (smart pooch), Rosie (hamster), Bo (gentle pooch), Marcel (gentle pooch) and Blue (sweet cat boss). Marcel and Blue each joined me for sessions; Blue was a regular telehealth companion during COVID, and, for a decade, Marcel came to the office with me for in-person sessions and was a beloved co-therapist.

Fees & Payment

Private pay session fees are:

  • $210 per 50-minute session

I accept payment for my services via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Zelle and Health Savings Accounts. Payment is due on the date of service.

Health Insurance

I am in-network with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim Health Plan & United Health Student Resources Insurance companies only (this does not include MassHealth or Medicare plans that utilize these companies).

If you have another insurance plan with "Out of Network" benefits, I am able to provide statements of service ("Superbills") that you can submit for reimbursement.  In these cases, you pay me directly at the time of service and then submit the Superbill to your insurance plan for personal reimbursement.

Please check your plan carefully to determine if you have Out-of-Network Benefits.  Insurance coverage varies widely and it is not always clear without doing some research.

Cancellation Policy

Life is unpredictable and I understand that unexpected situations arise. In light of this, my cancellation policy is:

Rescheduling & Cancellations: You may cancel/reschedule a session with at least 24 hours' notice without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session incur the full session fee of $210. You are responsible for this fee as Insurance does not cover cancelled sessions.

Emergency Exceptions – If an emergency prevents you from attending your session (e.g., sudden illness, family crisis), please notify me as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate a reschedule. I do not charge for emergency cancellations.

Respecting Time & Commitment – Outside of an emergency, my cancellation policy applies, ensuring fairness to me and all clients.

FAQ

Do you meet with clients in person?

How long are therapy sessions?

I see clients in-person on Tuesday and Thursday at my Wellesley Hills office.  I meet with clients via Zoom, a user-friendly, confidential and HIPAA-compliant tele-health platform, on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

To my surprise, I have found that working remotely does not compromise the quality of the therapeutic relationship or the effectiveness of any of the therapeutic techniques that I use. Many clients enjoy the convenience, comfort, and safety of working remotely.

Individual talk therapy sessions are 50-minutes.

EMDR therapy sessions are 50-minutes or 80-minutes/intensive.

What does an EMDR therapy session look like?

EMDR therapy is a specialized approach designed to help individuals process and recover from traumatic experiences. It involves bilateral stimulation (visual, audible or tactile) to assist the brain in reprocessing distressing memories, leading to emotional healing and the freedom to move forward from "stuck" places.  I offer 50-minute or 80-minute/intensive sessions.

How can I schedule a consultation?

Scheduling an initial consult with me is easy and confidential. It will give you some sense of what it would be like to sit and talk with me, I will learn about your hopes and goals, and both of us can determine if we are a "good fit" to begin work together.

After we have had an initial consultation and determined that ongoing meetings will be beneficial, you will receive a welcome email with a link to new client forms that will need to be filled out prior to our first appointment.
